It is not a funny coincidence, that my station stopped updating the web page in the middle of the thunderstorm. Just wanted to share this here, the neighborhood got struck by the one or the other massive lightning. The ISP repaired their stuff today, after work I need to change the one or the other network equipment hardware on my side to be back online again, all in another building which is not as protected, as my house. The station is still running, just offline. Other than rather minor damage in electrical and electronic equipment, no one was harmed.
The sizzling noise before the strike was quite spooky...

It was!

I still don't know where exactly, and what, the lightning struck, that caused the damage. It was about 100m away. Anyway, it literally burned one PoE injector, leaving scorch marks where the enclosure has it's opening for resetting, and the wall mount clip, too:
