Upgrade 4.5.1 to 4.10

Can I upgrade Weewx v 4.5.1 directly to 4.10? If not what is the procedure?

This install is a custom front end running on a Pi.

I have no idea what you mean by 'custom front end' but read the link above for potential compatibility issues depending on what you have currently.
