New start with Belchertown

Hi, a few years back I experimented with Belchertown skin, but never really got it running like I would like it..

Now I want to give it another try and I ask myself how to start in the best way. 

Would it be best to uninstall and install the extension new?

I would then follow these recommendations: Belchertown from scratch.....

Try looking at the documentation......

Start at https://www.weewx.com/docs/5.2/ and pick the Utilities guide from the left-hand menu.  Then look at the docs for 'weectl extension'.

What I would do is to set up a fresh VM and install Weewx with the Simulator driver on it. Then add Belchertown. This way you'll get experience with it and can configure it how you like it before messing with your live stations.
