V5.1 pip insufficient permissions

Hola a todos,

Siento informar que la v5.1 instalada con pip produce error por persmisos insuficientes cuando es ejecutada con usuario sin permisos de administrador:

Aug 14 12:13:17 epops weewxd[1613]: CRITICAL weewxd:     ****  Exiting...

Si se ejecuta con el usuario root el funcionamiento es correcto.
He añadido el usuario no root a los grupos dialout y plugdev. El problema persiste.
