Looking for Recomendation to backup the SDB DB file.

How would you recommend I perform a backup on my weewx.sdb file?  Currently I stop weewx; then run an CP command to copy it to a mounted flash drive; then restart weewx.  Is there a better way?  Thank you-

There are 'many many many' threads on this if you look into the archives a bit....
Here's my answer in 2016 to the same question....


I've been doing it this way for well over 10 years (wow) and it's never failed me.
