Hi,

OS is Raspbian Desktop on a NUC. I have used the various betas right through to build 18 which all ran perfectly with the weewx-SDR driver . I installed the new release using Deb package Pyhton3 and have the following error:

that looks like there is no 'SDR' section in your weewx.conf, but the station is still set to 'SDR'

when you do a debian upgrade, if you have made any changes to /etc/weewx/weewx.conf, you should be prompted about whether to use the existing weewx.conf or the new one from the install.  whichever one you do *not* choose will be saved in /etc/weewx

take a looke in the /etc/weewx directory to see which weewx.conf file is the right one

make a copy of the current /etc/weewx/weewx.conf, then copy the 'right' one to /etc/weewx/weewx.conf

then start weewx

if the installation process removed the 'SDR' section, then that is a bug and we'll need to know the precise steps you took so we can figure out how it happened

Matthew,
It was a clean install of everything then SDR extension installed and ran wee_config --reconfigure. Edited weewx.conf then restart.

This is my SDR stanza

thanks for that.  but the stack trace indicates that there *is* no SDR stanza.

could you post the entire weewx.conf file, with credentials obfuscated?

#   This service acts as a filter, converting the unit system coming from
#   the hardware to a unit system in the database.

[StdConvert]

    # The target_unit affects only the unit system in the database. Once
    # chosen it cannot be changed without converting the entire database.
    # Modification of target_unit after starting weewx will result in
    # corrupt data - the database will contain a mix of US and METRIC data.
    #
    # The value of target_unit does not affect the unit system for
    # reporting - reports can display US, Metric, or any combination of units.
    #
    # In most cases, target_unit should be left as the default: US
    #
    # In particular, those migrating from a standard wview installation

    # DO NOT MODIFY THIS VALUE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

Whoops, crimson with embarrassment! I have been looking at that all morning and not seen the wood for the trees.

Sorry to divert your time from more deserving users.

Thanks for the ongoing support for us all.
