New to Weewx and Raspberry Pi. Been running Weather Display for 16 years & looking for a more compact system.

Have WeeWx installed on a Raspberry Pi 3B+, installed Belchertown Skin and i've got data going to the template page which is a start. I can see my Davis VP2 data  at /var/www/weewx/belchertown/index.html. I want to edit the config file for WeeWX but doing so I get permission denied.

Have it installed at /etc/weewx and trying to figure out how to enable the permission to change so I can edit the config file and the template itself also.

When I installed the skin, I used this:

sudo wee_extension --install weewx-belchertown-x.x.tar.gz\\so I thought the permissions would be correct.

The permissions are correct.  Everything is owned by root.
If you want to alter them, you need your non-privileged user 'pi' to sudo to root in order to do so.
