Use of extra sensors in Vantage Pro2 environment

I am replacing my VMR200 with a Davis Vantage Pro as my VMR200 console is very unstable and miss several sensors periodically.

Using RTL_433, I can se that all my sensors are sending correct data (UV and 4 temp/hum sensors)

But similar Davis sensors will cost much more than the bare Vantage station!!

I hope to integrate old sensors by building a separate database (or writing to the whew database) by using the RTL_433 program.

Can someone advice me on a more elegant way of integrating my old sensors?
