Does weewx output conditions as text?

Morning - Just wondering if there is a way to output a text string for conditions - ie raining, partly cloudy etc? I cant seem to find one but thought i might be missing something basic so thought i would ask here,

Not that I'm aware of. I've been using DarkSky to give me that forecasting capability in my skin.

If the OP wants future conditions then he can use a forecasting module as you suggest - but if for real present conditions then it becomes much harder I think - raining can be done if rainrate > 0 - and I guess one can create other strings for different rain rates - and insert as appropriate in the template using conditionals.  Likewise one can do the wind (as many do).  As for cloudy or sunny I am not sure how you do those unless one has illuminance readings and even then I would not have a clue where to start!!  Would have helped if OP had said what strings he wanted!!!!!

Thanks for the reply - i am used to using either Weather Display or Cumulus of old and both of those put out current conditions in a text file, so i kind of just assumed weewx would as well - so Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, Overcast, Rain, Heavy Rain, Fog etc - based on solar, rainfall, humidity etc. 

No worries - although it would be a nice feature to have :) and it would be a nice extension....
