Adding additional Fields

Is there a way to easily add additional fields to the database? I don't know much about databases and management of them, but I got a few more sensors and it seems like the database doesn't have fields for the sensors.

I show the weewx database as having:

| archive_day_soilMoist1                |

| archive_day_soilMoist2                |

| archive_day_soilMoist3                |

| archive_day_soilMoist4                |

And I need to add:

| archive_day_soilMoist5                |

| archive_day_soilMoist6                |

| archive_day_soilMoist7                |

| archive_day_soilMoist8                |

Is there a way to do this easily, or is someone knows the commands to do to add them it would be appreciated if you could let me know how!
