Hello everyone.
Last year my old weather station failed, so i replaced it with a WS3080, which has been working well, except for the usual occassional usb lockups.
However, after the lockups, when i restart Weewx I often get the following type of errors. In the example below I had stopped Weewx to clean some spurious data, and on restarting got:
Jun 20 15:41:13 pyzero weewx[32416]: fousb: invalid data in get_records at 0x7030, 2020-06-20T14:22:15
Jun 20 15:41:13 pyzero weewx[32416]: fousb: invalid data in get_records at 0x7020, 2020-06-20T13:52:15
Jun 20 15:41:13 pyzero weewx[32416]: fousb: invalid data in get_records at 0x7010, 2020-06-20T13:22:15
As I have 12 years of readings, the rebuild of daily summaries takes a while, which allows these records to build up before weewx can be restarted. I have set StdQC limits which filters out most errors, but i would like to understand what might be happening.
It seems only to be data from the unit's memory that give problems, loop packets are fine. I have reset the WS3080 several times to clear the internal memory. That doesn't seem to resolve the situation.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks,
John
