Hey all,
It looks like weewx.com does not accept HTTPS web connections. I am not sure who to direct the question to, but would it be possible to move to a new hosting provider that accepts secure connections? If cost is an issue, Netlfy offers a free Open Source tier for qualifying projects. The addition of HTTPS on weewx.com would not only provide the obvious benefit of secure connections, but it would also help improve the overall search ranking for the site. I have taken a preliminary look over the code, and it looks like it would be possible to move the site to Netlify with minimal effort.

Thanks for all the hard work the dev group does to make WeeWX work!

We are using a custom server on AWS (Lightsail).

There isn't any content on the site that isn't available as open-source, so it just hasn't been a priority. I recognize that's only one half of the equation and that there may be some users who prefer to browse the site securely. It's hard to imagine why, but they may have their reasons.

It would make a good project for a volunteer.

Would the majority of the config changes needed to switch to HTTPS be on AWS?

I have no idea, but I assume so.
