Dear WebGL Community,

I working on a large data visualization project that involves generating heatmap from 25M datapoints.

We have been told that end users will use 4K monitor to visualize the data.

Would like to understand the rendering strategy to be followed to achieve best performance out of WebGL based solution.

Any help is in highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards

Hi Sureshraj,

You should take a look at deck.gl: https://deck.gl/
It's primary focus is rendering extremely large data visualizations. It even has its own heatmap layer: https://deck.gl/examples/heatmap-layer/

The focus in the examples is geospatial visualization, but take a look at SandDance (built on deck.gl) for a powerful example of non-geo usage: https://sanddance.js.org/
