py4web won't create apps

I installed py4web via pip on a MacBook Pro running Catalina; it runs fine, and I can create new apps (by "hand"), but the dashboard & default apps don't get created, even if I run it with the -c flag.

I'd be happy to dig into *why*, since this does not seem to be a common problem, but would like some direction as to where to look.

This is a bug. It was just fixed.
