Voting & Rating

Hey guys, I'm looking at the voting & rating example on the book (http://www.web2py.com/books/default/chapter/29/11/jquery-and-ajax?search=voting#Voting-and-rating) & was wondering how I could use (request.env.remote_addr) to prevent a previously voted user from voting again.

If the vote was made by a logged in user you should find it in the db right ?
