I joined this group and posted two (related) questions. No error messages but neitrhewr have shown up. I know I am subscribed because I am seeing all the other posts to the forum in my email.

There is no group contact point listed in the emails so I'm trying this reply to address.

This one has appeared Jon :)

I had the same problem a few months ago. Did you submit via the Google Groups web interface or via email? The ones i have submitted via the groups interface (https://groups.google.com/forum/) seemed to go through quickly.

I am not sure how many people watch https://stackoverflow.com/ . I know Anthony does and he has been really helpful recently... and for the last 10 years it seems. Maybe try there as well?

Cheers
Andrew

Just curious, is this THE Jon Paris of RPG fame??

If so, please hit me up with any questions, I'd love to help you any way I can.  I'm a long time AS/400 guy who has been using web2py since 2011.

That would indeed be me Jim.  Thanks for the offer.  I've been using PHP to good effect for many years now but wanted to explore something new and Python is "hot" right now in the iBM i community.

I did use the web interface but is has taken more than 3 days for any of my posts to show up.

There used to be an anti-spam measure that required review of a first post, but I think that disappeared years ago.

If you're not maintaining an existing web2py project, you might want to be looking at py4web, also by Massimo,

It's newer and faster, but expects you to use Vue or similar package, and there is less server-side rendering.  It requires Python 3.6 or later, while web2py can still work with Python 2.7 (of loving memory) or with Py3.

Jim S is good resource in this group.  Some of the Old Masters have moved on, and of course Massimo now has 2 projects instead of just to mother-hen (as well as his Real Work), but the rest of us have a few grains of knowledge that may help others.

Hello Jon,

sorry again for the trouble with your questions. First post is always moderated to avoid spam so it may take some time. Once your first post is approved (and it is) you should not have any more trouble posting.
