Hi Aytekin,
You must execute the commands in your Kibana installation directory. Maybe /usr/share/kibana/
?.
Hope this helps.

Hi Aytekin again, just a point:
In fact, X-Pack is already included in Kibana from 6.3.x so, if your Elastic environment exceeds that version, you just have to follow the guide to configure it, because you already have it installed.Sorry about that. Let us know the results.

Hi Aytekin,
As I explained in the first email, what you have to do first of all is activate the X-Pack license (you can choose between a free 30-day trial to try the advanced X-Pack features, or upload a license if you already purchased one) and configure it.
Once Kibana is running It’s going to ask us for login, we’ll use the elastic
user with the password that you have configured in the previous step.
Once you have logged in correctly, click on the Management section:
Now let’s create our roles. We must define user roles to determine who can use the app or see specific index patterns. Let’s create an example user for you to see the process. Find and click on the roles option.
Click on Create role.
We’re going to name this example role wazuh-admin
. Then you have to assign the permissions for each index. In this case this example role will have all permissions for all indexes. Finally, click on Create role.
Now we’re going to create a user and assign it this role. Select the Users link on the left and click the Create new user button.
We’ll name this user your-user
and set the password. We don’t need to set the full name and email address. We need to assign our wazuh-admin
role. Finally, click on Create user.
OK we’re all set with the new user. We can now log out as the elastic
user and we can login as your-user
.
If you still have questions, please write to us again.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Juan Carlos

Hi Aytekin,
It is possible that your elasticsearch service is in a failed state. Could you execute and paste the output of the commands below:
systemctl status elasticsearch -l
cat /var/log/elasticsearch/my-cluster.log
Let’s see if there’s any error log to help us identify what’s going on.
And please, can you send the contents of your /etc/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.yml file?

Hi Aytekin,
As I explained, you have the option to use the alternative offered by Search Guard to create users. Here is how to configure it https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/installation-guide/installing-elastic-stack/searchguard.html#, and more specifically how to configure the users here https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/installation-guide/installing-elastic-stack/searchguard.html#setting-up-search-guard-roles
But I recommend you to create users with X-Pack because since the new version of ELK 7.10 security for Elasticsearch is free and, among other things, allows role-based access control for controlling user access to cluster APIs and indexes. Here you can find more information https://www.elastic.co/blog/security-for-elasticsearch-is-now-free
And here you have a video tutorial on how to configure it in this new version, and how to create roles and users in Kibana https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMh1HWWe6B4&feature=youtu.be
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Juan Carlos

Hi Aytekin,
It is possible that your elasticsearch service is in a failed state.
Regards.

Hi Aytekin again, just a point:
In fact, X-Pack is already included in Kibana from 6.3.x so, if your Elastic environment exceeds that version, you just have to follow the guide to configure it, because you already have it installed.Sorry about that. Let us know the results.

Hi Aytekin,
As I explained, you have the option to use the alternative offered by Search Guard to create users.
