Hi

using ubuntu24.04

When I see dashbord it indicates that gdm3 is failed.

35552 Ensure GDM is removed. Command: dpkg-query -s gdm3 Failed

But I think that is not correct...

See below:

Check (Condition: all)
  • c:dpkg-query -s gdm3 -> r:package 'gdm3' is not installed'

oot@pauloric:~# dpkg-query -s gdm3
dpkg-query: package 'gdm3' is not installed and no information is available
Use dpkg --info (= dpkg-deb --info) to examine archive files.

root@pauloric:~# apt purge gdm3
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Package 'gdm3' is not installed, so not removed
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

root@pauloric:~# apt autoremove gdm3
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Package 'gdm3' is not installed, so not removed
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

What is wrong? As I can see there is no package gdm3 installed and Check is ok. Then why it indicate as failed ??

regards

Hello Pablo

Could you please provide more information about your environment?

How did you install wazuh?

Did you configure something in your wazuh environment?

And please could you share a screenshot of the error?

Hello Pablo.

I haven't been able to replicate the gmd3 error. According to the internal message you sent me, you used apt packages.
You could perform a clean installation by following this guide:
https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/installation-guide/wazuh-indexer/installation-assistant.html

For ease of use, I recommend installing via Docker. Here is the Docker guide: https://documentation.wazuh.com/current/deployment-options/docker/index.html

Let me know if any of these installations work for you.
