Dear Community:

The DC Transportation Equity Network (DC TEN), through funding from the Energy Foundation and WABA, is awarding Community Solutions grants to organizations interested in engaging their constituencies on issues like safe streets, transit, accessibility, walkability, and other mobility justice issues.

These Community Solutions grants can be used to:

  • Host listening sessions on transportation issues facing the DC area, and alert community members of opportunities to weigh in.

  • Provide resources (technical, monetary) for community members to participate in formal transportation and sustainability planning sessions or projects.

Alternatively, if an organization would like to participate but are not able to design their own outreach program, they can apply with the option of working with DC TEN to design a survey or data-collection activity for their constituency that can then dovetail with community planning sessions. Please contact us before applying if this is their preferred option.

We hope to begin disbursing funds as soon as possible to successful grantees! These funds must be exhausted by April 30, 2021.

For more information, please see the application or feel free to send me any questions you might have!
