DC COMP PLAN LAWSUIT HEARING MONDAY

The DC Comprehensive Plan lawsuit moves into the next phase with a live hearing in Judges chambers this coming Monday, February 14, 2022. The DC Comprehensive Plan changes signed into power by the Mayor will usher in the next waves of harmful displacement and luxury overdevelopment.   If you love your city, tune in.

* DC Comprehensive Plan lawsuit hearing this Monday Feb 14, starting 11:30 am.
* Tune in at this link >>  https://dccourts.webex.com/meet/ctb100
Meeting ID:129 846 4145

Background:  The DC Comprehensive Plan is DC's central planning document that guides decisions about the future development of our city. The Mayor got the City Council to recently change the Planning maps and upzone areas around the city equating to about 200 Million Square feet of upzoning and density around the city. There was a legal requirement associated with the Mayor's desire for growth --> actual planning! That is to consider impacts to the environment and the people and to ensure affordability and limit displacement. Do you think the Mayor followed the law to conduct actual planning with the substantial 1000+ pages of Comp Plan changes.

Support the Comprehensive Plan lawsuit

— At least 15 DC neighbors from 6 of the 8 wards have sued the Mayor and City for changing the Comp Plan planning maps without doing the impact studies required by law. http://www.dcfeedback.com/fit2print/dc/652
