Hi all.

I’m a bit late to the party and I doubt I’ll make the tiniest dent but I was wondering about the calling frequencies for the UHF/VHF field day. The rules state:

3: Except for CW, no contest operation is allowed below 50.150MHz. Recognised DX calling frequencies must not be used for contest activity. Suggested procedure for SSB stations is to call on .150 or higher on each band and QSY up, to make the contest exchange.

Thanks,
Sander VK6VCC

Hi Sander, all,

Here's the reference info I use for most of the contests,... it was last updated in 2020 but I'm fairly sure it's still good.

Noting that the VHF / UHF Field day contest -starts- at 6m (50MHz) and goes up in frequency from there, one can use the bottom four rows to good effect.

Cheers, Dave VK6KV

Hello Dave, Sander et al

I *think* that there was a slightly updated version with edits by Fred VK6UMH but I don't have it to hand here.   Thisone should pass muster anyway.

I wonder if we'll get a few entries in the log from our 5.76GHz contingent?   That might earn a point or two.

Sadly the contest is done and dusted already for this year (started yesterday 3rd Jan, finished this morning).

I was too preoccupied to check, and none of the usual contest proponents sent reasonably recent reminders, so I don't think there will be much log uploading from VK6 at all, sad to say...

Cheers, Dave VK6KV
