Save the Date - Sept 20th NJ QSO Party!!

The NJ QSO Party will be held on Saturday Sept. 20th from 10:00am to 10:00pm.

We are looking for all members who reside in NJ and have a home station to participate and help the DVRA's Club scoring.  W2ZQ will be used for members who reside in PA and NJ members who do not have a home station.

Further details to follow as we get closer to the contest.

Hi Dom,

Just noticed  that  Raw Scores from the 2025 ARRL Digital Contest  are up and shows we didn't not make the top 10 for our category. In 2024, we were 7th World Wide and  2nd for the US.

Looking at the log,  the club had a 5 hour operating hole, which may have accounted for part of it :(

...to add to Dom's note...

1. Please mark your calendar for the event.  Do as much or as little as you can (the whole 12 hours from your home station in NJ would be best).  Everyone can contribute and help put DVRA on top.
2. Avoid anything higher than 150 watts, for the NJQP you don't need high power and high power gives us less points.
3. If you can do CW and run frequency, do that.  It gives you the highest number of contacts and most number of points.  If you are not comfortable running frequency, search and pounce will do too.
4. If you are not into CW, consider digital.  It is also worth 2 points per QSO like CW.
5. Of course, for winning, it does not matter how we accumulated points, phone points are as good as any other points.  You can run frequency or search and pounce.
6. You need to submit a Cabrillo file indicating DVRA as your club if you are working from home (which if you are in NJ and you have a home station, you should be planning to do).  
7. If you need help with generating a Cabrillo file, setting up FT8 for the NJQP or anything else feel free to ask soon.

Hey Dom!

I can't commit to a 12-hour shift, what with the family bouncing
around, but I could happily go digital from south jersey for that day.
I might need a little bit of configuration help to be sure to have the
right CQ line for the special event.

I'll stay tuned for further details!
