Hi all,

As discussed at last week's meeting, we're going to do some site maintenance at the Williamstown repeater site. We'll need 6-8 people and the following pieces of equipment:

- String trimmers
- Lawn mowers
- Brush hog (optional)
- hedge trimmers
- small chainsaw
- broom and dustpan
- push broom
- trash bags
- simple green or other general purpose non-toxic, non-corrosive cleaner in a spray bottle
- paper towels
- mouse magic (mint bags to repel small critters) or dryer sheets
- Shop vac

We will clear out brush, mow the grass and make the site more accessible and looking nicer than we left it. Vermont Public is giving us a bargain deal to host our equipment at teh site so this is our way of being good tenants. We'll also clean up the inside where our club equipment is, and give anyone interested the nickel tour so you can see how a typical repeater station works.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, the rain date is one week later - Saturday, June 7th, 2025.

Please respond in this thread if you are interested in helping and/or are able to contribute machinery!

Patrick,

I plan on being there and will bring a line trimmer converted to a saw blade.

Hi Maggie,

Yes, we're going to meet Saturday May 31st at 9am at Pump and Pantry in Williamstown, then take 2-3 vehicles up to the repeater site.

Thanks Patrick!

Unfortunately George has a cello audition right at that time. Keep us posted about Field Day, though, George is excited to participate and I’d love to help out.

We have the elected official for you (my sister is chair of the Middlesex Cemetery Commission 🤣).

Folks,

Based on the weather forecast for tomorrow I am going to make the call to move this out one week.

Let’s reconvene next Saturday June 7th at pump and pantry at 9am. I will also move the fox hunt to this day so folks have a more enjoyable experience.

Don’t forget we are meeting at Hubbard park at the old shelter for our meeting this Wednesday June 4th at 6pm. See you there!
