Hi all,

Let's use this as the 2026 field day organization thread. Any questions, notes, etc can go here for maximum visibility with the rest of the club.

ARRL Field Day 2026 takes place June 27th and 28th, 2pm Saturday to 2pm Sunday.

Here is the official ARRL FD site: https://www.arrl.org/Field-Day

For Jeff Koonz KC1WLT, the safety officer checklist is on page 15 of the packet.

I made an organizational spreadsheet if you are so inclined to add to it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IRUpwVR2BPqGDV3eATU9kZDnaukU9fjswnAMpoatgWM/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks all!

Patrick,

Perhaps we should add a column for people to indicate what equipment they will bring to FD so we know what we have to work with.

Hi Alan,

See the “radio” and “equipment” tabs for that!

Patrick,

I printed out the SO checklist.  I'll bring surveyors tape to mark tent stakes and antenna lines.  I'll have my fire radio which has NWS on it and I'll be able to call for EMS, Fire, or Police.  I"ll also have fire extinguishers.  Plus I"ll bring my EMT jump bag and AED.  Those knock out some easy items on the list.  Between Chris Knox and me, we'll have the EMS covered.

Hi folks,

We're just 2 weeks away from field day setup! Just wanted to check in and make sure we're all still on track for the 26th. Please review the spreadsheet if you haven't already and add to it where applicable:

Thanks,
-Patrick

I have three extension cords, donated to CVARC.  I also have more coax, less than one old.  Some have pl259's on each end others only have one connector, along with the coax I also have various cables, video; rca plugs, network, etc.

Does anyone need small monitors, and speakers, they will be recycled if I can't give them away?

I just took a look through the spreadsheet and added myself for a handful of places.

Maggie -- I already have plastic utensils, napkins, and paper plates (about 100ct) left over from Field Day last year and will bring them.

I was taking another look in the spreadsheet and noticed that no one had signed up for the GOTA station so I filled myself in on that. I dont know if that was solidified at the last meeting as I arrived late and was out of earshot for most of it.

I am currently planning on bringing my little Xiegu G90 as a good example of a budget friendly entry level radio. With that I have batteries, an EFHW and vertical antenna. I can run digital modes on it too.

If there is another plan in the works, just let me know. Im getting excited for it!
