Ice rescue

To all skaters,

And especially those just rescued,

For the next few days we are going to hear a lot about this ice rescue of five ice skaters off Charlotte. 

Let’s remember that the Fire and EMS/Rescue Squads are almost entirely local volunteers.  

They stopped their day, got geared up and went out into the frozen lake and rescued people. 

Send them a thank you note. 

Send them a donation.

Stuck skaters rescued from Lake Champlain in Charlotte Five skaters who got trapped on Lake Champlain in Charlotte on Tuesday when the ice separated were rescued safely.

Coast Guard was also part of the rescue.

They were all great. I am very grateful for their immediate response and help getting us to Terra Firma.
