Good news/bad news:

Bayside Park caught last night. Clear, black ice, but alas, just a bit thin to skate. It held my weight, but I did send some cracks radiating out as I stepped on it.

Thanks, Robert. And thanks for posting the pictures, it really gives you a good idea of what it's like. It looks like it would be really good by tomorrow if we weren't getting snow this evening and tomorrow.

nice skating on Wrightsville Reservoir today. Hockey game going on still. Too bad it will be snow covered by tomorrow.
