Dear VocBench team,

as a follow-up to the thread Display more detail in concept/entry view/search results? I am trying to understand how to configure a rendering engine on project creation.

I created a new SKOS project and filled out the following form, as described in the documentation (http://semanticturkey.uniroma2.it/doc/sys/rendering_engine.jsf).

The project was created successfully. Next I created a few concepts with notations. My expectation was that the configuration would have a visible effect in the resource view (e.g. the notation would be prefixed to the prefLabel), but I did not notice any difference.

Where is my fault or what am I missing?

Kind regards
Roland

Problem solved. After the message had been sent, I had a suspicion that something was missing in the template, so I tried again several times until I got it right. With the following template it worked as expected.

(${notation}: )?${show}

I think the documentation would be clearer if you include a screenshot of the form "Configure SKOS Rendering Engine" when it is filled out.

Kind regards
Roland

Dear Roland,

we felt the same. The one in the ST site is too formal (and probably a little implicit) while a few examples would surely help.

On the one side, we will fix it in the near future, on the other side, I would say that a few screenshots would help and fit well in a similar dedicated section (with les details and going directly to the point) should be created in the VB site.

Glad it worked in the end and apologies for making it not really straightforward :-) hope it worked with the POS as well, which you mentioned you wanted to use in WN.

Kind Regards,

Armando

Dear Armando,

no need to apologize. I had not been aware of this support for notations until you mentioned it in  the other thread. I must say I like it! And also that it works for skos:Scheme (and I suppose ontolex:ConceptSet) as well.

Prefixing labels with wn:partOfSpeech in WordNet worked too, see separate thread.

Best regards
Have a great weekend!

Roland
