bash-5.1$ vglrun -v -d egl glxgears
[VGL] ERROR: Could not load EGL functions
[VGL]    /usr/lib64/VirtualGL/libvglfaker.so: undefined symbol: eglGetProcAddress

I reinstalled loads of packages.
NVIDIA 570.86.15              Driver Version: 570.86.15      CUDA Version: 12.8
mesa-libEGL 24.1.2

Name         : VirtualGL
Version      : 3.1.2
Release      : 1.el9
Architecture : x86_64

I've checked with ldd on suspected libs, nothing particular.
Nvidia driver seems to work without vglrun

Sort of stuck here how I should fix this problem.
Any ideas how to check/fix it?

Cheers, Roland

I'll try to upgrade my machine to 570.xx and see if I can reproduce it.

I can't reproduce the specific problem you are seeing, but I also have no ability to install 570.xx on RHEL 9.5.  My only system with an nVidia GPU runs Rocky 8.10, and my only Rocky 9 system runs an AMD GPU and is stuck on Rocky 9.4 due to AMD driver compatibility issues.

I observe other issues with nVidia 570.xx, such as a permissions issue when the X server starts.  Have you tried a non-beta release of the driver?
