Hi there!
I've been reading you all for a while, and first of all thanks for this initiative, I'm totally learning a lot!
After reading you I think where we can contribute the most is in the development of workflows, in which we have worked a lot with microbiology data. I've added two pipelines we've developed trying to improve some things from the galaxy pipeline (including implementation for amplicon data, and indel calling), and implementing it into nextflow DSL.
I've added them here:
I can't find a slack channel where this group is communicating or something, I'm a little bit lost as I've never participate in this kind of hackaton, I don't know if the plan is create a pipeline for primary analysis merging all the good things of all the ones available and then integrate it in this sequencer platform?
Where are you talking about this?
Sorry for the inconveniance!
And thanks a lot for this!
Bests,
Sara

Hi Sara,

I would say none of us has participated in such a BioHackathon before, this one is happening under very special circumstances so, if you feel a bit lost, you are not alone!

Now, regarding a workflows channel, if there is none, you can create it an share it on the general or covid-19 channel so people will join. I would suggest to ping there (or here) Michael Crusoe who has a good experience with Common Workflows Language. There should be Galaxy people as well participating.

Regards,
