Dear Christian et al.:

It has been some time since Bram’s passing and from the outside the Vim project continues to run smoothly. I know that is a huge part you and the many contributors since.

It is often easy to continue day to day and not realize the selfless efforts that are given for volunteer work. I wanted to take a moment to say Thank You.

Thank you to the contributors who continue to offer help and keep the Vim project relevant. Thank you to those who believe in Vim itself and have not abandon the community in favor of other flashy alternatives. And specifically, thank you Christian for stepping up to the plate since.

Also I’d like to point out that Christain has continued to uphold the values that Bram engendered in this community and in keeping the entire project moving forward and keeping engagement in the development of Vim. I realize this is not an easy task.

Thank you all for keeping the Vim vision alive and for keeping 30+ years of stability and security of a project that I have become inseparable with and is a core part of my development identity. Without Vim I would not be the developer I am today.

Yours in service, Devin

Those are some very nice words, and even so I am spending much more of
my private time to Vim, I'd like to mention all the numereous
contributors and the other regular maintainers who also contribute to
keep the project running. Let's keep the project running :)

Thanks,
Chris
