question: code style guidelines/requirements

Hello!

I'm looking to get a bit more involved in the project but I'm a bit unsure about the code style used throughout the project. Are there any guidelines that developers should follow? I did a few searches but nothing turned up.

I'm mostly confused about the mixed use of tabs and spaces. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
