Fix regressions in the latest runtime files update

Hi Bram and Charles,

There are many regressions in Charles' plugins in the latest runtime file update

as reported at https://github.com/vim/vim/commit/2963456ff2b740244b3a064785fe681b1998d75e#r36734504 .

Please check the attached patch.
