Describe the bug

In latest master (change ithin last couple of weeks) no mappings work in the Motif GUI.

To Reproduce

Detailed steps to reproduce the behavior:
0. Build with --enable-gui=motif

  1. Run vim -g -Nu NONE
  2. Run :nmap ! :echom "Test"<CR>
  3. Type !

Expected behavior

"Test" is echo'd as a message.

** Actual Behaviour **

The mapping is not triggered.

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • Vim version 8.2.827
  • OS: Linux (RHEL 7)

Additional context

Possibly related to changes regarding xterm modifyOtherKeys and may be the same issue as #6110 (apologies if duplicate)

Please look out for any other things that stop working. It's very
similar to what happens on MS-Windows, thus it should be OK, but there
can be subtle differences.

The reason it did work in GTK is because somehow XIM is involved and the
modifier was already dropped. I wonder it the opposite problem exists
here...

Actually it seems that mapping for <C-Bslash> still doesn't work. Should I raise a new issue?

Repro: vim -Nu NONE then :nmap <C-Bslash> :echom "Hello"<CR>
