Somehow the Vim status page at Travis does not work on my home computer.
However, with a laptop using VPN it works fine.
Any suggestions how to pinpoint this issue?

Using "nslookup travis-ci.org" gives me:

Server: 127.0.0.53
Address: 127.0.0.53#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: travis-ci.org
Address: 54.243.143.241
Name: travis-ci.org
Address: 50.16.206.205
Name: travis-ci.org
Address: 23.21.61.111

Hm, are you running a DNS cache/server on your local system? Try
enabling the google DNS (8.8.8.8) or IBMs (9.9.9.9) or Cloudflares
(1.1.1.1), that should work and they should be fast.

I see this:

Using the google DNS:
nslookup travis-ci.org 8.8.8.8
Server: dns.google
Address: 8.8.8.8

Nicht autorisierende Antwort:
Name: travis-ci.org
Addresses: 23.21.73.177
204.236.227.162
184.73.213.82

My normal DNS Server:
nslookup travis-ci.org
Server: fritz.box
Address: 192.168.178.1

Nicht autorisierende Antwort:
Name: travis-ci.org
Addresses: 23.21.73.177
184.73.213.82
204.236.227.162

It looks like it was something stuck in the DNS cache.
I ended up rebooting my router, then wait a while.
Now it's finally back. Still not sure if there was an easier way.
Rebooting the router always means something stops working (I have
electric switches that connect over WLAN), I rather not do that too
often.

according to your nslookup output, it was resolved by your local system
(ip address was within the 127 range.), so rebooting the system should
have solved. Or perhaps ipconfig /flushdns

No need to reboot the router I would say.

Christian
