Hi all,

With the popup support coming along nicely, might it be an idea to put
together some sort of showcase of the various popup options available?

Perhaps a help-like file which gives some commentary of the various
options, and demos for each option which are activated when the mouse
hovers/clicks on a "click here"-esque link?

Not sure whether such a thing necessarily belongs in the Vim
distribution itself...?

Thanks,

Paul

How about a wiki page on https://github.com/vim/vim/ ah that is not
enabled at the moment. Perhaps that should be enabled?

Best,
Christian

Hi Christian,

That's a good idea, hadn't thought of that.

My initial thought had been something that I can run "live" within a
Vim instance... but that's certainly not mutually exclusive with a
corresponding wiki page which can more easily be viewed online with
images etc.

I'd be supportive of the wiki being opened up - it's a good
stepping-stone location for docs/etc that aren't/won't ever be
"production ready"

Thanks,

I was planning to add some examples to the help, to explain what most of
the options do. I probably need to do something with the help syntax to
make it look better. Some way to add a background color...

Some place with "real life" examples would also be good. Especially if
they combine a screenshot with the code how it was created. I expect
plugins to show their effect, but it can be difficult to find out "how
did they do that".
