Sounds like a faulty FXS card.
I have not heard of this previously.
Suggest you request a replacement.

Thanks for your quick responses.I have opened the MP2 and I can confirm that the FXS card was firmly seated on the main board. I then went on and switched the FXS cards between two of the MP2s. The result was ...
- The faulty FXS make the problem appear on the MP2 that was not having any issues.
- The MP2 that originally had the faulty FXS does not even work well with the good FXS. The line says "in-use" according to the phone, and after booting it up, you can't here the dial tone.
- After putting the FXS cards in their original MP2s, everything went back to the initial condition ... with one MP2 not accurately detecting DTMF and the other one working flawlessly.
I think that something might be wrong with the MP2 main board and the FXS.Thoughts anyone?
