Hey my name is Chris Lichty, I have always been interested in machining, getting into it when I was younger through highschool metal shop, riding BMX and making parts for myself. I had a small Taiwanese lathe back in my Dad's shop before moving out here and also designed and built a CNC mini mill.
I have turned that passion into a career and have been machining for the last 14 years and really love my job. I am currently lead machinist and part owner of a shop in town, Rainhouse Canada and although we have some pretty neat toys at the shop, it never gets old seeing old iron and all of the amazing machines and shops that people around town have. Thanks for adding me to the group!

yeah, that's an idea I've been toying with .. we could do a biweekly pint get-together where we meet at a different shop (basement or commercial) every time and talk about machines, projects and maybe even collaborations ..
