Hello,

I am wondering how vfense handles the updates. Does vfense check the ubuntu repositories for updates and downloads the updates by itself or does the server initiates a download of the updates via the vfense client on the server that is being managed?
The reason for asking is that I now have a apt-mirror server which collects all the updates from the repositories and the ubuntu servers apt sources are set to collect the updates at this apt-mirror server. So no 30 ubuntu servers collecting the same update through internet at the ubuntu repositorys, but just the one server.

I was going to answer this in line and then decided to update the readme.md in the repository :).

In a nutshell, the vFense server downloads the files locally and the agent pulls from the server.
