I am wondering if any of you know of any major companies where Vert.x is being used in a production environment? In my company, we are creating a modular platform, and I am trying to figure out if there is any large-scale implementation of Vert.x. There are some concerns whether Vert.x has been proven or not, especially in production.

I'm working at a very large US financial company that is using it. They opted for the Red Hat version running on OpenShift in order to get support. I wouldn't worry about the library being proven.

i'm leading the dev of numerous products in a fintech company working with the biggest banks in the uk. our systems are based on vertx and we are really happy with it.
i also know that it's used by at least one of the banks we are working with and believe me, it's a really big one.

We do use it to process/compute around 400 mb/second of data every second on 8 Core Intel Xeon. In general Vertx is proven and live up to the expectation. Make sure to go through the documentation and clear understanding of how async programming works, and I am sure you will have no problem.
