Tim, i think we have to warn the community that if the removal of their car on the 25th has time requirements, they should park outside of the garage overnight on the night before. Meter parking ends at 9 PM I believe and doesn’t start again until 9 AM I believe.  I will check the parking timing and let you know.
And I think we have to hire Security overnight starting the night of the 25th as the gates will be down

Paul, there will be very limited access with long delays on the first day the second day will offer more access but will still have some delays while everything is being configured.

Thank you,
Sean

Is the 9/25-26 date pretty solid, Alex?

Hello all,

I wanted to give you a quick update, we are still aiming for the timing that we discussed a few weeks ago:

  • Thursday 9/25 – Friday 9/26

Please have security ready for Thursday (9/25) night while the gate is down. I will be out of office starting next Tuesday, but Sean will follow up if there are any timing changes!

Thanks,

Thanks Paul! Looks like my to the google group are bouncing back since I’m not a part of it.

I’ve copied in Hal since I have his email address. You may want to send this drawing to the google group if they didn’t already receive it.

Thanks,

Vaux officers, Hal, Joe, Tim, Diana...please respond.

I approve the gate as drawn and explained.

Do you approve?

Hey Paul & Team,

I wanted to follow up on this drawing and see if you have any questions. As noted, we have shown 2” x 2” mesh on the full gate. This matches the mesh that is on the current gates on the outer edges. This will make it more difficult for anyone to reach through the gate.

Is this approved to move forward?

Paul,

I have attached a drawing for design approval! Please let me know if you have any questions or changes.

This will be flush with the existing front posts, and we will have the gate hinge off the back of the post (shown at the top of the drawing) to avoid the reach through area on the LH and RH sides of the gate. The arrangement will look cleaner and give you slightly more width as well. We also have put 2” x 2” x ¼” mesh along the full gate which will greatly help with reach through protection.

We were able to squeeze out an overall width to 15’1”, adding just over a foot compared to our conservative 14’ we spoke about initially.

Thanks,

Paul,

We just got an update from Tim on Friday that the deposit is being processed, so we will hopefully see that soon!

I have scheduled Tuesday, 8/19 for us to take measurements with our fabricator so we can get you a drawing for approval the week of 8/25.

We have also blocked dates for fabrication production the first two weeks of September which will put install timing around end of September/early October.

We are not completing any permits for city approval, however the permits for the electrical work will be completed concurrently with the installation work.

Thanks,

Hi Alex, are we on track for the new garage gate at the Vaux?

And approximately when can we look at design (including approval), permit, and construction happening.

Thanks,

Since security coverage is necessary to support the gate replacement, my take is that the cost is part of total project cost and should be charged directly to the reserve project as a reserve expense.
