  1. I think I heard unanimous agreement that our concerns regarding Bill's role and contract issues were all addressed adequately. Do I have that right? Not saying that there wont be issues but I think we have clear direction.
  2. It appears that there will not be much required from the board or committees. But we need to keep our ears perked on this.
  3. Paul's conversations with Centric mesh well with our duty to get multiple bids on this project where there are few alternatives unless we replace the elevators which would be a nightmare for residents, for our reserves etc.... Thank you, Paul.
  4. Jerry was absolutely essential to the finer details in the discussion. I hope that we can lean on him during the life of the project. Jerry is on this distribution.
  5. This project won't begin in earnest till the end of this year and likely won't complete until 2028. Yikes.
  6. We need to find a forum or a series of forums that reaches ALL residents regarding the reality on the ground when the project is underway. Ongoing communications will be key to keeping residents informed of what they will experience, what risks are inherent during the work etc... Wouldnt be a bad idea to have one in the June/July timeframe to give people an adequate heads up on what's coming.
  7. A 'meta' observation: the board is working at a high level. The planning meetings are a key for great, full discussions. Our dynamic, even when disagreements are at play, is working as displayed in the EV charging and elevator projects. Kudos to Diana for getting this in place.
thanks
Joe

Joe,

I think you captured the key points very well. I agree that communicating with residents in advance and during construction is very, very important.

Thanks for putting it all together, Joe, and I agree with every point.
As we sit today, Bill Greenland has chosen to go to Centric to assess their capabilities and...if they are capable... price and schedule.
As the time approaches, we need to put together an owner notification system that should begin as soon as we have any definite news or instruction, etc.
We can put out a series of notices, perhaps under the title,  "Elevator Modernization News".

Well said, Joe.

I was invited to Kate McPherson’s last evening to meet and mingle with “newish” residents, along with reps from E-Prep, and  Welcome Committees and KYN.
I spoke briefly about projects board was undertaking. I touched on 2 topics:  security and elevator remodernization.
I reminded those in attendance about the importance of waiting for the garage gates to close and not letting anyone into the  buildings/courtyard who is unknown to us.
I said the elevators were a priority and stressed that we were at the very beginning of a very lengthy process.

I notice I didn’t thank Jerry for his key support. Big miss.
Thanks Jerry, you were essential to the progress we made
