I don’t trust anything in the NYT on EVs; no one who writes about them seems to drive them, to actually see all the KIAs and Hyundais and Toyotas and Chevys and Fords that are out there on the roads.  EV sales are slowing, not stopping. American automakers have made a lot of mistakes, but diving in to EV production and then jumping out is ruinous. Meanwhile, the unmentioned (unmentionable maybe in the NYT zone?) Tesla just sold its 10 millionth vehicle.
