How to generate RSA key pair using Vault

Is there any way Vault to create RSA key pair?

Hello Subu,

Yes, definitely. You can see from the documentation https://www.vaultproject.io/docs/secrets/transit/index.html#key-types the different key types you can use in the transit secrets engine. More details on how to pass the specific type to the API is also available here https://www.vaultproject.io/api/secret/transit/index.html#parameters

Pki secrets will generate certificates pair but I was looking for rsa key pair similar to ssh key pair.

Vault cannot directly create OpenSSH keys but has pretty good support for dynamic SSH secrets: https://www.vaultproject.io/docs/secrets/ssh/index.html

Maybe this helps you out.
