I operated indoors in our pool hall - see picture.  Elecraft KX-3, 5 Watts, random wire sloper put up into a nearby tree Friday Afternoon.  Battery power. Computer was powered by e-Bike battery via a buck-boost regulator. - I have two of these batteries, but they did not last. Don't know how many total hours but when the second pack gave out around 3 PM today I knew it was time to quit. I suppose I could have worked a while longer while keeping a paper log and inputting the data into N1MM later but I by then I was just as much out of energy as the batteries were!

Great guns, Ray!
I'm curious how you fed the "random wire."

Jim,

I keep this "WKD kit" in a plastic bag to use year after year. The wire is something like 44 feet, meant to be non-resonant on all bands. A weatherproof 9:1 Un-Un and about 35 ft coax. I threw a few ferrites  around the coax at the radio end just for good measure.  No separate counterpoise wire - I have just declared the coax to be the counterpoise (grin).

Works well. I didn't check the WARC bands this time, but did check 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10, and found that the built in ATU in the KX-3 gave me an indicated 1.3 or better SWR on all.
