Is it possible that aprs.fi is having an issue? Both of my aprs digipeaters are having issues showing up with updated " LAST POSITION" reports. Sometime not showing a LAST POSITION for several hours. This issue started yesterday. I have checked  both of my digipeaters and everything seems to be work just fine. My digis are WD4ITN-4 and WD4ITN-5. Thanks WD4ITN Jerry

Do your routine beacons send GPS coordinates?  Are they sending every time?

I think last position has to have coordinates.  I can join APRS-IS and get everything you send, but it will be later tonight.

Thanks for everyone's reply to my issue. What ever happened appears to have happened last Friday night. That is when my APRS Digi started having issues updating to aprs.fi. Since then it has been very intermittent to not at all updating. I have even changed out my all my equipment at my site and still having the same issues. It appears that my digi is not connecting to a gateway. Whatever APRS gateway I have been connecting to for years appears to have changed something or having issues themselves. If anyone knows of any issue please let me know. Thanks Jerry WD4ITN

Subject: Re: [Valley Hams] aprs.fi Question
Once again thanks for all the suggestions for help with my APRS DIGIPEATER issue.
Fortunately I finally found my problem this morning. After checking everything  the last few days several times, including checking the transmitter power, receiver sensitivity and antenna swr, all of which showed no issues. I even hooked up another APRS station and it too failed to work. Even though the antenna and coax showed no issues at all I finally switched to another antenna on my tower. Everything immediately started working. I hooked my packet station to the antenna in question and it started doing strange things. Apparently even though the antenna/coax tested good there's obviously a problem with the antenna or coax. Thinking back to the night the APRS DIGIPEATER started acting up I remember we had a thunderstorm that night. I am guessing the antenna took a surge Thanks again. WD4ITN Jerry

Glad you found the problem.  Things like that are hard to figure out.

Being "old" I have lots of memories and your story reminded of my 80 meter dipole in some trees at a campground in N.Y. state.  Patsy and I are in our big green tent. Terrible electrical storm in the middle of the night.  Fortunately I had thrown the coax out of the tent after my 80 meter net that night.

That dipole never worked again - like you, all my continuity testing showed no problem - then I remembered the storm. . . . .  You and I were both fortunate that it wasn't worse.
