Let's just start and stop with the "Error in sound input: An error opening the input device has occurred"
Has your setup been working fine up to this point? If so, what has changed?
I agree with Lowell that it may be RFI. Have you rearranged your shack and your cabling?
Have you made any changes to your antenna system that may have introduced new issues.
Windows may have tagged you with an update and altered some of your sound settings. Double check your microphone settings.
Right click - Windows Start
Menu / Settings / Privacy / Microphone and make sure the "Allow Apps to access
your microphone" is turned on. Also shut off any of the other apps that may be trying to use your microphone input. If you have just setup Zoom or Skype or Camera or something else, you could have inadvertently caused your issue.
Above all make sure you use a good USB cable, don't cut corners with the Dollar Tree brands.
