to Vagrant
Hi everyone,

Need some help, if anyone can offer.

I'm trying to create a grough map from https://github.com/grough-outdoors/grough-map.

Following the instructions, I've installed virtualbox, vagrant and git.
I've cloned the github repository and using git cd'ed into the repository to "vagrant up".
I can see that the VM clones the folder structure from the host to a folder called vagrant.
The trouble is, as I'm running through the commands, it keeps saying it can't find a file and skips it.
The thing is, I can see the files in the local repository it says it can't find. So I know they're there.
It downloads files from OS and OSM to local repository and unpacks them, but then says it can't find sql files and such that are in the folder.
I've been trying different things for several days and I'm nearly giving up.

If someone can help. it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

hello

if you share what commands you run
what errors you see

will be easier to help

As you are using someone else repo, I will suggest open an issue with them in case they can help you.

Alvaro.

Thanks for responding. Of course, the first thing I did was contact grough map support especially since they said to ask questions. Unfortunately, they didn't respond.
As I said, I run through the commands that are in the readme on the github site. After logging into the VM I changed to the vagrant dir which is mapped to the github clone locally on Windows.. Doing an ls lists the files in the local cloned folder so the VM can 'see' the files. After I start to issue commands such as gm-restore- schema, errors start to appear, some may be normal. However, its when files need to be accessed, it shows the directory in the error message and says it can't find the files, even though I can see the files in the directory it's looking in.
It also deletes files and then says it can't find them.

Just a heads up: the c:\vagrant directory is a network share. For some reason I cannot remember any more not all file IO operations of the Windows API are supported on shares which will lead to rather wierd exceptions. I have this problem with Chef for example.
Try  doing the same but copy the files you need in the VM first, say in a temporary directory to make sure this isn't the case.
