Automatically update vagrant boxes

Hello together,

we are using a custom packaged box for our development process and now I am wondering if it is possible to automatically update the base boxes from the Vagrantfile during vagrant up. Is there a way?

Hello

Say you have a base box, version 1.1.1

if the box is not available, will be downloaded

on the first vagrant up the guest will be created. so here we have.

base box 1.1.1

guest from 1.1.1

A new version is available a message will be displayed.

From there the user can

vagrant box update

vagrant destroy

vagrant up

Thats the normal workflow.

What do you would like to automate?

Hello,

 

we would like to automate the Vagrant box update step. So the user can destroy the machine and say Vagrant up and it automatically takes the most recent Version.
