Hi All ,

I recently started to do a PoC with vagrant and need one help on setting up virtualbox software.
I want to setup VirtualBox on a different machine . Say Machine A and vagrant on Machine B and when vagrant is executing it should connect to VirtualBox on Machine a and have to create VM's.

I this scenario possible in vagrant setup ?

Request any pointers for this.

Regards ,
Ashok

Hello,

Is not possible with core vagrant.

Vagrant will try to connect the local virtualbox and create the boxes locally.

In windows, you could rdp into the remote box and run the commands remotely, or setup WINRM/SSH/Telnet

Hope this helps.
Alvaro.

Hello,

Some time ago, someone did this plugin:

I haven't tried, and I am not sure if will work on Vagrant 1.8.x but seems to do what you are after.

As for your comment, I am not sure this is a wanted feature, since Vagrant provide the well known core ones.

If you happen to find a issue on github where this is being track, please subscribe to them.

if there is none, I think you can open one issue, describe what you are after, and the developers will have a look into it and see if will be feasible for the mid term.

Thanks
Alvaro
