Forwarded port doesn't work

Hi all,

I set the following lines into my first Vagrant virtual machine config file:

  config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest_ip: "192.168.1.2", guest: 80, host: 8080

  config.vm.network "private_network", ip: "192.168.1.2"

but the forward ports action doesn't work.

I looked through Vagrant's documentation but I didn't found anything related to this issue.

I can load web pages from guest virtual machine without any problem but using default port: 80.

Do I need to add something else to my Vagrant config file to to set "forwarded_port" running correctly?

Can you try as:

config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 80, host: 8080

Hi Alvaro,

Port forwarding is working for loopback interface. I can start a SSH session through port 2222 and get access to web pages served by Apache2 through port 8888 but I want to redirect http requests to 192.168.1.2 (private network) over 8888 port.

I’ve just notice Vagrant assigned “port_forward” option to interface 1 (default - NAT).

Even after set “guest_ip” parameter Vagrant assigned it to interface 1. I’d like that Vagrant assigned it to interface 2 (private network).

I thought it would be possible setting “guest_ip” parameter with interface 2 ip address.

Am I wrong?

Sorry.

Port forwarding is not possible through private network (host only) option. I was a confusion.
